The peoples of LANifesto share the following sets of beliefs.
 
 
SECTION 1 - LAN PARTIES
  1. Central Alabama is in desperate need of a LAN party, and we may as well give it a good one to boot.
  2. Social interaction through chat just isn't the same as hurling taunts across a table.
  3. Nothing quite beats a perfect mix of frags, caffeine and pizza.
  4. Food should be cheap!  Drinks should be cheaper!
  5. LAN parties should be for fun, not profit.  Donations need to be publicly accounted for.
  6. We put a lot of money into our gaming computers, we may as well show them off at a LAN!
  7. We love sponsors, but we love our gaming even more.
 
SECTION 2 - LAN ETIQUETTE
  1. LAN parties are for LAN games.  All file swapping should be done during breaks.
  2. Splintering off from the game only hurts the LAN party.  Stick together!
  3. LAN party internet is a valuable resource, and should never be wasted on P2P.
  4. LAN parties should never be mistaken for daycare centers.
  5. MMORPGs are the bane of LAN parties.
 
SECTION 3 - GAMES
  1. Gameplay over graphics.  No exceptions.
  2. Good games don't have yearly releases or countless expansion packs.
  3. A good game can also be played 20 years from now without the need for cracks.
  4. Console games don't offer the level of competitive play that PC games do.
  5. Mouse and keyboard is still the way to go.
  6. Auto-aim and regenerative health are for the weak.
  7. Counter-Strike players need to move on already.
  8. Even after 12 years, we still bet on Duke.
